Two ratings follow your game: a social rating for every match you play, and a competitive rating for tournaments and leagues. Here is how they work.

Who you beat
matters.
You win or lose as a pair
Padel is doubles, so your result is the pair's result. Your own rating moves with it.
Measured against the other pair
The system compares you with the average rating of the pair across the net.
Upsets pay more
Beat a stronger pair and you gain more. Lose to a weaker pair and you drop more.
The win is what counts
Only the result counts, not the margin. A win never lowers your rating, and a loss never raises it.

Bar length shows the relative size of the change. The exact amount depends on both pairs' ratings and how certain they are.
The more you play,
the surer it gets.
MONSTR rates with Glicko-2, which tracks how certain your rating is as well as the number itself. A new rating moves fast to find your level, then settles as you play. Take a break and it becomes less certain again: it does not drop, but your first matches back can move it more.

Each rating has its own leaderboard. You join it after 10 matches in that rating: any 10 rated matches for social, 10 tournament or league matches for competitive.

If a score was entered wrong and gets corrected, the earlier rating change is undone and the right one applied.
A match moves each rating a single time, however often the result is saved.
Each rating change is logged against the match that caused it.

Do Americano and Mexicano nights count?
Yes, toward your social rating. Your competitive rating moves only in tournaments and leagues, and those matches count toward your social rating too.
Does winning 6-0 count more than winning 7-6?
No. The rating uses the result of the match, not the margin.
Why did my rating move so much at the start?
A new rating is uncertain, so it adjusts quickly to find your level. The more you play, the more certain it gets, and the smaller the moves become.
When do I appear on the leaderboard?
After 10 matches in that rating: any 10 rated matches for the social leaderboard, 10 tournament or league matches for the competitive one.
What if I stop playing for a while?
Your rating does not drop. It becomes less certain, so your first matches back can move it more than usual.
What happens if a score was entered wrong?
When the score is corrected, the rating change from the wrong score is undone and the right one is applied. A match only ever counts once.
